Both circuits cover well-known hill stations. They give very different trips.
Shimla and Manali
- More famous, with a larger choice of stays.
- Better for snow day trips (Kufri, Narkanda, Solang, Sissu).
- Busier in peak weeks.
- Long drive between the two.
Dharamshala and Dalhousie
- Quieter, with Tibetan culture in McLeod Ganj, and cedar forests around Dalhousie.
- Khajjiar meadow at about 1,900 m.
- Good for slow, relaxed travel.
Choose Shimla and Manali if you want snow and well-developed tourism.
Choose Dharamshala and Dalhousie if you want calm, cafes and views, and fewer crowds.
