A group trip is an easy way to travel solo. These questions avoid surprises.
1. Rooms. Do solo travellers share rooms, and with whom? Is there a single room option, and at what extra cost?
2. Group size. Small groups are easier to manage. Ask the maximum.
3. Gender mix and sharing rules. Ask how roommates are assigned.
4. Departure certainty. What is the minimum group size, and what happens if it is not met?
5. Pickup. Where and when do you join, and how do you get there?
6. Inclusions. Meals, entry fees, vehicle and activities.
7. Cancellation. What happens if you cancel, or if the operator cancels?
8. Safety. Is there a trip leader throughout the trip?
Solo travellers should also confirm emergency contacts and share the itinerary with family.
